Pre-Determined Rejection Via Mocking

Christ was mocked throughout the painful process
of offering Himself up as a Sacrificial Lamb of God.

Matthew 27:29, 31, 41
And when they had platted a crown of thorns
they put [it] upon his head, and a reed in his
right hand: and they bowed the knee before
him, and mocked him, saying, 'Hail , King
of the Jews!' [v31] And after that they had
mocked him, they took the robe off from him
and put his own raiment on him, and led him
away to crucify [him]. [v41] Likewise also the
chief priests mocking [him], with the scribes
and elders said ....

Wickedness will toss aside, in an orderly systematic
process, to make light of it so as to arrange for social
mocking, outright rejection with a complete disregard
for the substance of things not-seen.

Those who set their carnal mind on things on earthly
matters will concentrate all of their own reveling to
promote themselves all the while rejecting and reviling
any hint of heavenly authority. Those who trample
upon heavenly wisdom will mock and scoff against it.

Jude 1:8    NIV
In the very same way, on the strength of
their dreams these ungodly people pollute
their own bodies, reject authority and
heap abuse on celestial beings.

In the OT, there are two action verbs that combine:
Arak (+) Calah = H6186 + H5541

These two action verbs combine as a message:
"To arrange an evaluation not to be valued."
"Ordained to be rejected"
"Arrangements to be tossed aside"
"Set in an orderly place to become weighed down"

This suggests a forethought for a planned dismissal.

This rejection was decided upon before any evaluation
was made. This type of trampling down under foot was
pre-meditated. No matter how good, how righteous, how
eager to humble one's heart, the verdict was previously
already decided upon. The ruling class has already made
up its mind in the matter.

This hostile mindset is expressed as mocking or scoffing.
It is received as reproaches.

Suffering Reproaches
Psalm 69:20
Reproach hath broken my heart;
and I am full of heaviness: and
I looked [for some] to take pity
but [there was] none; and for
comforters, but I found none.

Psalm 71:13
Let them be confounded [and]
consumed that are adversaries
to my soul; let them be covered
[with] reproach and dishonour
that seek my hurt.

Psalm 74:22
Arise, O God, plead thine own
cause: remember how the foolish
man reproacheth thee daily.
