Just Balance From The LORD

In response to blog:

I enjoyed your analysis: the right amount of force.
I would call this a refined degree of balance within
the application of F=ma.

Leviticus 19:36    KJV
Just balances, just weights, a just ephah,
and a just hin, shall ye have: I [am] the
LORD your God, which brought you out
of the land of Egypt.

The spiritual parrallel is looking at the brutality of
Pharaoh as opposed to the just balance of the LORD.
Might does not make right. Pharaoh allowed his fear
of losing power to run rampant and enslave others
through unjust task-masters.

Proverb 16:11    KJV
A just weight and balance [are] the LORD'S:
all the weights of the bag [are] his work.

Force alone with the intent to micro-manage and
control is considered brute force. The Pharaoh's
expression of oppression failed to give just recognition
to others. Instead, he used his place of power to
harden his heart. He viewed his way as greater
and others as lessor. This produced his pride.

Deu 25:13    KJV
Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights,
a great and a small.

It is the goal of just refinements in our hearts from
the LORD so we can properly balance and weigh
each matter with a view towards the Almighty.
It is based on our freedom to seek out His justice
in our own hearts that can lead us towards finding
true balance in spirit and truth.

Proverbs 20:10 & 23    KJV
Divers weights, [and] divers measures, both
of them [are] alike abomination to the LORD.
[23] Divers weights [are] an abomination unto
the LORD; and a false balance [is] not good.

The application of drawing near to God for His just
and true measure of eternal life will keep us from
the slavery of sin.

Micah 6:11    KJV
Shall I count [them] pure with the wicked
balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?

Loss of Blessed Leaders

Job struggled with every form of loss.

When he recalled his former, blessed
life as described in Chapter 29, I noticed
verse 17 that described previous victory
over evil, wicked men.

Job 29:17    KJV
And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and
plucked the spoil [H2964] out of his teeth.

Strong's H2964 - tereph = prey, meat,
(tender new) leaves, spoil

Even though Job did not realize how his
reversals were not from God, he did know
when 'the Almighty was yet with me'
(verse 5) how he overcome all things.

Ephesians 6:12    KJV
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in
high [places].

Job recognized how his victory was due
to the 'candle' that shined by His Light
on his head when the secret of God was
on his 'tabernacle.' (see verses 2 thru 4).

Psalm 124:6    KJV
Blessed [be] the LORD, who has not given
us [as] a prey [H2964} to their teeth.

Next, Chapter 30 of Job turns the corner
as he related his current experiences as
a reveral of his life from goodness into loss.
He spoke about the companions of those
who created divisions.

Job 30:11-13, 29    ESV
Because God has loosed my cord and
humbled me, they have cast off restraint
in my presence. [12] On my right hand
the rabble rise; they push away my feet;
they cast up against me their ways of
destruction. [13] They break up my path;
they promote my calamity; they need no
one to help them. [29] I am a brother
of jackals and a companion of ostriches.

Nowhere was this more evident in how
his honour became his horror especially
in the eyes of his community. Job was
struggling to understand how he had
become absent of His blessings as a
righteous leader. He witnesses how
this gap, or void, in righteous leadership
created an unstable environment ripe
for wild beasts to expand, grow and
take root all around him.

Ezekiel 22:27    KJV
Her princes in the midst thereof [are]
like wolves ravening the prey [H2964],
to shed blood, [and] to destroy souls, to
get dishonest gain.

The Word of God is clear about those who
seek gaining spoils for themselves as they
fall into temptations.

1 Timothy 6:5    KJV
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds,
and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain
is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

1 Timothy 6:9-10    YNG
[but] those wishing to be rich, do fall into
temptation and a snare, and many desires,
foolish and hurtful, that sink men into ruin
and destruction, [10] for a root into all the
evils is through the love of money, which
certain longing for did go astray from the
faith, and themselves did pierce through
with many sorrows.

Jude 1:10    NKJV
But these speak evil of whatever they do not
know; and whatever they know naturally,
like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt
themselves.

Let us seek the LORD Almighty in the midst
of the whirlwind of our lives for His candle
to light our path. May we overcome ruinous
corruption of our fleshly desires.

Close Family Ties To Christ Jesus

Mark 6:3    KJV
'Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary,
the brother of James, and Joses (Joseph), and
of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters
here with us?' And they were offended at him.

The other sons from Mary the Mother of Jesus:
James, the LORD's brother (Gal 1:19)
Jude or Judas, brother of James
Plus Other Disciples:
John Mark, cousin to Barnabas
Nathanael of Cana in Galilee (John 21:2)

The Son of Perdition

Who was this Judas surnamed Iscariot?

John 6:71   KJV
He [Jesus] spake of Judas Iscariot [the son] of
Simon: for he it was that should betray him,
being one of the twelve.

John 12:4    KJV
Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot,
Simon's [son], which should betray him,

John 13:2, 26    KJV
And supper being ended, the devil having now
put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's
[son], to betray him; [26] Jesus answered,
'He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when
I have dipped [it].' And when he had dipped
the sop, he gave [it] to Judas Iscariot,
[the son] of Simon.

In John 17:12 we read how Jesus identified
he 'son of perdition' as Judas Iscariot.

Luke 6:15
Matthew and Thomas, James the [son] of
Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes,

Jesus chose Simon (the Canaanite) as well as his
son, Judas Iscariot. Both were Apostles. The son
became the Betrayer, the Traitor, the ultimate
Son of Perdition.

How did that affect the dad?

Family Of Apostles (revised 7-28-2011)

Did you know that Jesus chose 3 pairs of
brothers, a father and son, along with 4
other disciples?

I. 3-Pairs Of Blood-Brothers
A. Two Brothers:

2) Andrew, brother of Simon Peter
Simon Peter, son of Jona (see John 1:42)
and his brother Andrew, who were from

3) James, son of Zebedee, brother of John
who was martyrd by Herod Agrippa the King
(Act 12:2); also known as: James the Less
4) John, son of Zebedee, brother of James
James and his brother John were sons of
Zebedee, surname called Boanerges, which
is, The Sons Of Thunder.

C. Two Brothers:
5) Matthew (the publican), aka, Levi,
the tax collector; son of Alphaeus (Mark 2:14)

Purchasing Oil

I have often wondered what Jesus meant
as He spoke about 5 foolish virgin-maidens
who were to go and buy or purchase oil for
their own vessels.

Matthew 25:2-4    KJV
"Now five of them were wise, and five were
foolish. [3] Those who were foolish took their
lamps and took (taking) no oil with them
[4] but the wise took oil in their vessels
with their lamps."

Ok, I got how the 10 handmaidens were
waiting for the bridegroom. Yes, 5 were
wise and 5 were foolish. What made the
5 maidens foolish?

I have read and reasoned that the oil is the
key. Yes, the 'oil of gladness' is a part of it.

Yes, the oil represents the living Word by
the Spirit of the LORD. Yes, the Anointing
Oil of Healing also must figure into this
parable as well. Obviously, the ones who
failed taking oil with them were foolish.

Yet, in what manner might someone undertake
the act of going out and purchasing the much
needed oil, presumably from merchants which
would remain true to the essence of this parable?

Matthew 25:7-9    NKJV
"Then all those virgins arose and trimmed
their lamps. [8] And the foolish said to the
wise, 'Give us some of your oil for our lamps
are going out.' [9] But the wise answered
saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough
for us and you; but go rather to those who
sell, and buy for yourselves.' "

I have always maintained that the word,
'No' is a holy word straight from the mouth
of God. Here we read how the 'no' from those
considered wise were setting forth a barrier
or boundary line in order to retain their own
integrity without compromising themselves.

Why?

I believe the word 'no' is an absolute truth
about how our Christ-centered faith operates
in the human condition. One person can not
share their overcoming divine-fellowship to
others for the purpose of establishing any
sort of a collective salvation.

No one taking somebody else' oil through
collective redemption will be acceptable in
the Day of The LORD. He will not recognize
it as valid and the Door Will Remain Shut.

Romans 11:17    NKJV
"And if some of the branches were broken
off and you, being a wild olive tree, were
grafted in [G1461] among them, and with
them became a partaker of the root and
fatness of the olive tree ...."

Who did the grafting-in? Was it not those
wild Gentiles, each one of whom both
repented and believed on the LORD for
their own salvation?

That's why Paul taught how believers were
to worship and fellowship in unity without
showing preferences but treating everyone
as equal. He was against factions that caused
divisions between believers when they came
into fellowship together to worship Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:12-13    NASB
Now I mean this, that each one of you is
saying, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos,"
and "I of Cephas," and "I of Christ." [13]
Has Christ been divided? Paul was not
crucified for you, was he? Or were you
baptized in the name of Paul?

Paul taught how the foundation was built
on the finished work of the cross and not
by our own labours. The unification of our
faith centers on our personal acceptance
of the cross into our hearts and not in any
way according to our affiliations, associations,
loyalties or denomination.

As children we were taught that there's no
cutting in when waiting in a line. It was
not allowed. In other words, for the purpose
of the Gospel, there's no short-cuts and you
can not beg, borrow or steal someone's oil.
I can not count on my redemption based on
my attendance to a particular church. It must
become personal as a result of my own choices
to bear my own cross in my own heart.

The Strong's G1461 - egkentrizo = to cut
into for the sake of inserting a scion; to
inoculate, ingraft, graft in(to)

While each believer is encouraged to share,
according to their own resources and free will,
such sharing is the result of the fruitfulness
in their life by the Spirit. However, they can
not graft-in others based on their own walk.

While I can shoulder the heavy leaden burdens
that others struggle with, I can not absolve or
eliminate the responsibility of others for their
own journey. They must develop their own
personal devotional walk according to His
blueprint for their lives themselves.

So, how do we, as believers in Christ, buy
or purchase our oil for ourselves?

Proverb 17:16    NKJV
Why is there in the hand of a fool
the purchase price of wisdom since
he has no heart for it?

We must set our hearts with the commitment
to abide in Him through thick and thin, for
better or worse without doubting that He is
worthy, He is able, yes He is willing to make
us complete in Him as we abide and obey.

Strong's G2932 - ktaomai = to acquire, to
purchase, to get; procure a thing for one's
self; to possess, to obtain

James 1:4
But let patience have [her] perfect
work, that ye may be perfect and
entire, wanting nothing.

This sort of changes my perception of the
instructions Jesus gave to His disciples when
He sent them out to minister.

Matthew 10:9
"Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper
in your money belts ..."

I think Jesus wanted His disciples to resist the
temptation to get payments for their ministry
at that time. Instead, He wanted them to learn
how to become completely dependent on the
ministry of the Spirit and not rely on solely on
incoming contributions, donations, supplies and
financial resources. It would become a matter
of the heart and not the wallet.

Luke 21:19
"By your patience possess your souls."

1 Thes 4:4
"... that each of you should know how to
possess his own vessel in sanctification
and honor ..."

If our hearts are filled with stuff, then the oil
that comes from crushing olives will not occur.

The suffering servant who endures to the end
of this process will have abundant oil for their
own walk, their own ministry, yes, their own
acceptable Day of The LORD.
