Take Courage & Overcome Limitations

Jesus was surprised and marvelled when His own home
town did not believe nor responded to His ministry.

Mark 6:5-6    NASB
"And He could do no miracle there except
that He laid His hands upon a few sick people
and healed them. And He wondered at their
unbelief."

Jesus saw the faith of those carrying to Him
a paralytic lying on a bed and He said, "Take
courage, My son, your sins are forgiven."

Matthew 9:1-6 records their interactions, but
also included the reactions of the scribes
who falsely claimed Jesus was blaspheming.

Luke 5:21    NASB
"The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason
saying, "Who is this man who speaks blasphemies?
Who can forgive sins, but God alone?"

Jesus commanded the paralytic to get up, take
his bed, and go home. It reads as though He
did so to prove His authority to both forgive
as well as heal. His adversaries did not believe.

What are these limitations to the growth of our
ministry, our walk of faith and our inner-man's
journey to draw near to Him? Such obstacles
and resulting attacks are from those in positions
of power who have a vested interest in keeping
the status quo. They do not want authority to
be shared by others.

Jesus encouraged many to have courage to
exercise their inner faith with bold actions.

Mathew 9:22    NASB
But Jesus turning and seeing her said
"Daughter, take courage; your faith has
made you well." At once the woman was
made well.

Mathew 14:27    NASB
But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying
"Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid."

Mark 6:50    NASB
... for they all saw Him and were terrified.
But immediately He spoke with them and said
to them, "Take courage; it is I, do not be
afraid."

Mark 10:49-52    NASB
And Jesus stopped and said, "Call him here."
So they called the blind man, saying to him,
"Take courage, stand up! He is calling for
you." [50] Throwing aside his cloak, he jumped
up and came to Jesus. [51] And answering him,
Jesus said, "What do you want Me to do for you?"
And the blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, I want
to regain my sight!" [52] And Jesus said to him
"Go; your faith has made you well." Immediately
he regained his sight and began following Him
on the road.

John 16:33    NASB
"These things I have spoken to you, so that
in Me you may have peace. In the world you
have tribulation, but take courage; I have
overcome the world."

Fatal Wound / Healed As Deception / Evil One

Several beasts were described in the Book
of Revelation as having power. One such
beast received a fatal wound from a sword
but was healed by the Evil One.

Revelation 13:3    KJV
And I saw one of his heads as it were
wounded to death; and his deadly wound
was healed: and all the world wondered
(or marveled, admired) after the beast.

I get the picture of a single Evil One
with different heads. Sort of like Medusa
who had many snake heads as her hair.

This wound was not accomplished in private.
It was all out in the public arena for all
to experience together.

Revelation 13:12   KJV
And he exerciseth all the power of the
first beast before him, and causeth the
earth and them which dwell therein to
worship the first beast, whose deadly
wound [G4127] was healed.

What sort of wound was this? It is Strong's
G4127 Plege - wound as in plague(s), stripe(s)

This is the same word used to describe the
many plagues issued from The LORD to bring
the peoples to repentance. God's judgments
rained down for a purpose.

Psalm 89:32    KJV
Then will I visit their transgression with
the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

It's also the same Greek word the Apostle Paul
used to describe the many beatings he received
from the Jews.

2 Corinthians 11:24    KJV
Of the Jews five times received I forty
[stripes] save one.

These stripes were described as having been
administered to the LORD for our healing.

Isaiah 53:5    KJV
But he [was] wounded for our transgressions,
[he was] bruised for our iniquities: the
chastisement of our peace [was] upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24    KJV
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body
on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should
live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye
were healed.

Instead of destroying all humanity, who was
without hope for salvation, God sent His
only Son, the perfect Lamb of God from the
foundation of the world, to be our salvation.

John 5:20    NASB
"For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him
all things that He Himself is doing; and the
Father will show Him greater works than these,
so that you will marvel.

This same admiration, wonderful amazement and
public awe is incredibly seductive to the Evil
One. He despirately desires the same worship
and praise among men for his own glorification.
So, he will create a similar healing to draw
the nations to himself. Satan just can't get
enough applause for himself.

Revelation 13:14    KJV
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by
[the means of] those miracles which he had power
to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them
that dwell on the earth, that they should make
an image to the beast, which had the wound
[G4127] by a sword, and did live.

When will such deception cease?

Ezekiel 21:25    RSV
"And you, O unhallowed wicked one,
prince of Israel, whose day has
come, the time of your final
punishment ... "

According to Strong's, there are a total
of 10 Hebrew words comprise Ezekiel 21:25.
What are these ten Hebrew words?

Ezekiel 21:25
1) H2491 - CHALAL - fatally wounded
2) H7563 - RASHA - guilty, wicked one
& H7563 - RASHA - guilty of sin, hostile
3) H5387 - NASIY - one lifted up, rising mist/vapour
4) H3478 - YISRAEL - Israel (striving/fighting God)
5) H834 - ASHER - that which, when
6) H3117 - YOWN - time-period, day, continually, when
7) H935 - BOW - to come upon, bringing
8) H6256 - ETH - a proper time for eventful experience
9) H5771 - AVON - consequences, punishments, iniquity
10) H7093 - GETS - end, infinite, extreme end of time

I noticed Strong's H2491 - Chalal = slain,
or fatally wounded, pierced; defiled, profaned;
slay, wounded:
a) pierced through, hence: mortally wounded
b) expanded to connect with: profane i.e., harlot

My paraphrase verion reads as follows:

"Fatally wound the wicked one, whose guilt of
hostile sinning [is as] one lifted up rising
[like] vapour, striving/fighting against God
from which comes the eventual proper time for
bringing [his] punishment as the consequence
of [his] iniquity until the extreme end of time."

This chapter of Ezekiel focused on the King of
Babylon, who represented a figure-type of the
Evil One.
Isaia 14:4    KJV
That thou shalt take up this proverb
against the king of Babylon, and say,
How hath the oppressor ceased! the
golden city [H4062] ceased!

Note: Strong's Hebrew 4062 - madhebah (noun)
which means = boisterous, raging, behaviour

One day our adversary, the devil with his
raging boisterous behavior will have nobody
and nothing but his very own firery judgment
as his only companion.

Fire

Hebrews 1:7
And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his
angels spirits, and his ministers a flame
of fire.

Hebrews 11:34
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the
edge of the sword, out of weakness were made
strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to
flight the armies of the aliens.

Hebrews 12:18
For ye are not come unto the mount that
might be touched, and that burned with
fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness,
and tempest

Hebrews 12:29
For our God [is] a consuming fire.

Worm Shall Not Die

Isaiah 66:15    KJV
For, behold, the LORD will come with fire,
and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to
render his anger with fury, and his rebuke
with flames of fire.

Isaiah 66:24    KJV
And they shall go forth, and look upon the
carcases of the men that have transgressed
against me: for their worm shall not die,
neither shall their fire be quenched; and
they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Strong's G4663 - skolex = a worm that preys
or feeds upon dead bodies

Mark 9:44    KJV
Where their worm dieth not, and the
fire is not quenched.

Mark 9:46    KJV
Where their worm dieth not, and the
fire is not quenched.

Mark 9:48    KJV
Where their worm dieth not, and the
fire is not quenched.

Fire Unquenchable

Strong's G762 - asbestos = unquenchable,
never shall be quenched (inextinguishable),
perpetual (fire/burning)

or

Everlasting Fire
a) Strong's G166 - aionios = everlasting,
without end, never to cease, forever
b) Strong's G4442 - pyr = fire

or

Everlasting Punishment
a) Strong's G166 - aionios = everlasting
b) Strong's G2851 - kolasis = punishment,
correction, penalty, torment

Matthew 3:12   KJV
Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will
throughly purge his floor, and gather
his wheat into the garner; but he will
burn up the chaff with unquenchable
(G762) fire.

Matthew 25:41    KJV
Then shall he say also unto them on the
left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed,
into everlasting fire, prepared for the
devil and his angels:

Mark 9:43    KJV
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off:
it is better for thee to enter into life
maimed, than having two hands to go into
ell, into the fire that never shall be
quenched (G762):

Mark 9:45    KJV
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off:
it is better for thee to enter halt into
life, than having two feet to be cast into
hell, into the fire that never shall be
quenched (G762):

Luke 3:17    KJV
Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will
throughly purge his floor, and will gather
the wheat into his garner; but the chaff
he will burn with fire unquenchable (G762).
